As the leading banking institution in the country, FNB Bank offers South Africans more than just affordable banking - we offer a better way of life for you and your family through our range of long and short term cash loans.

How much do you need to borrow?

When it's time to calculate your ideal loan amount it's best to do this based on both how much you need and how much you can afford in repayments per month.

The bigger the personal loan amount the lower the rate but, the longer you will have to pay interest.

You must have a good credit history to apply

In order to qualify for a loan with us, you will need to have a good credit history but, we may consider applicants who have missed a payment or two.

You will have to have a stable income and be able to prove that you have sufficient income at the end of the month to make the loan repayments.

Secured versus unsecured – what is the difference?

In the finance business you will come across the terms ‘secured’ and ‘unsecured’ quite frequently. When applying for a loan you can access either of these two options based on your financial circumstances and preferences. A secured loan requires the borrower to place an asset, such as your vehicle or home, as collateral when taking out the loan while an unsecured loan does not require any security. For this reason a secured loan allows you access to better rates and larger borrowing amounts than an unsecured loan. The option that you choose will depend on your affordability, current economic circumstances and the amount of money that you are looking to borrow.

Do it yourself with an FNB personal loan

Have you been putting off those home renovations? We understand the discomfort that accompanies borrowing which is why we suggest that you take a look at our loan options.
